It’s five a.m in New York and I have a major dog leg. Most normal people call it jet lag, but me and my friends aren’t normal people. It’s been dog leg since 2004 when my friend happy on egg nog at a party said dog leg but meant jet lag.
So I have major dog leg.
I’ve managed to eat my way half though the mini bar while watching the first season of New Girl, secretly wising I was as quirky and cute as Zooey Deschanel, and worrying about the mini bar bill. I’m sure it will be nice and round, even though most of the snacks can be bought at Duane Reade across the street from the hotel.
I’ve lived in New York for almost nine years and this is the first time I’m staying at a hotel. My favorite hotel none the less. Ace Hotel. Designed by Roman and Williams it’s my special hang out for drinks and coffee. The staff is awesome, the rooms feel homey, the drink in the hotel bar are great, stump town coffee is amazing, and the mini bar is almost empty….
I should get back to feeding my dog leg.
