Oy, I miss New York today.
Sometimes it’s hard to adjust to a new place. It takes time to find your favorite spots, local hangouts, and favorite things to do.
The honeymoon period of Stockholm living is over the everyday life is settling in.  Time to get some sort of a routine.

The best part of this weekend is that I found a place on Soder that serves Chinese hot pots!! YAAY!! That’s almost like shabu shabu! I’m ecstatically happy about trying that out.

Hey, now that I found Shabu shabu, maybe Stocholm ain’t too shabby shabby after all.

I have such mixed feelings about leaving New York. Our storage is empty, furniture are sold, bags are packed. Time for our european adventures to start for real. Happy-sad-crazy-glad probably explains the feeling the best.

I’m sort of a hopeless romantic and I always daydream away in terms of movie scenes (with soundtracks). I never ever thought of myself as a leading lady (more the best friend to the leading lady). But now I’m sitting here with a guy who decided to quit his job and move to Sweden for me. That feels pretty leading lady to me.

My feet are such playa playas bringing home all these shoes to the hotel room.

Oh, how I’ve missed New York cabs.

I thought it was a pack of gum that somebody left. But no. It’s a pack of used condoms. And the state of the cabby floor ain’t to shabby either.

I got a lovely dose of her today at the All Saints wearhouse sale. People were grabbing each other’s picks left and right.

I heard a primal scream from Sash from across the room: ” SELMA, SIT ON MY SHOES!!!!” So I did and I guarded our shopping territory quite well from the other wolf shoppers.

Good morning lover!! Oh how I have been craving lousy deli hazelnut coffee with lots of half and half. I love it!!!

My morning routine is and has always been a delicious cup of non-coffee-connerseur-coffee and a toasted bagel with lots of butter and mozzarella.

When I left New York for the job in Sweden I only packed the essentials that could fit in one bag. Now, I’ve finally been united with our most precious wedding gifts; two hand-knitted figures of us. My big sis and my extra Sis ( another story) knitted these lovely creatures for us. They’re called Maca and Roni. MACARONI.
