I started liking Rick genest a few year ago. Then he did the Thierry Mugler campaign and was really in the limelight for his tattoos and darkness. It all became too much for my taste.

But now I’m just really loving the downplayed version of Rick that David Fischer shot for High Snobiety.

High snobiety Selectism on London’s newest menswear trade show; “Jacket Required”.

Such a great concept.

Hi Pan!!

Hubby is looking for a nice bag. we’ve been having a hard time tracking down classic men bags in Stockholm. SirandMadame has a really nice collection that was shown at Project two weeks ago. I love that trade show, It’s the first year I’m not attending.

Here is whatregularolty had to say about it:

Here’s a few gems from @SirandMadame Fall 2012 collection that were on display at Project NY. Navy heavy duty canvas with Homerun Leather and the brand new ALL leather weekender. Best thing about this pieces is that they’re Made in the USA. Can’t beat that!

I Completely agree with isaaclikesdiary:

Best outfit I’ve seen in a long, long time. How fresh is a cardigan instead of a suit jacket?

sunday routine

Sunday mornings are sacred. I wake up, make my soy latte, put on music, and read Selectism for a few hours like it’s my bible. It’s the best place to read up on your daily menswear, design, and culture.

Favorite piece of today was on italian designer CAMO’s fall 2012 collection. I’ve fallen in love with this structured wool jacket. It feels so 1930’s western.  And as you know I have a soft spot for the vintage western look

Polka Dots. A print generally considered feminine and prepubescent but is in fact a classical men’s wear print, especially in neck wear. Designers has started picking up the dots for bottoms, shirts, and outerwear.

1. In almost every picture of portrait of Winston Churchill he is wearing a polka dot bow tie.

2. Designer Mark Mc Nairy New Amsterdam puts polka dots on a chamber coat for spring 2012.

FJAERILEN - VINTAGE CLASSICS

I was walking down my street the other day and found a lovely store; Fjaerilen vintage classics.

It’s the most amazing vintage shop specializing in men’s wear. Good men’s wear. Classic tailoring and good quality.  They offer vintage and new productions and have an onsite tailor for custom-made alterations. The interior is lovely. Old wooden floors, vintage torso dress forms, and turn of the century props.

SYDNEY PRINTS

A few weeks ago I had a dream that I was applying for a job in Sydney. The application had to be written in letters made out of shoes. I was twisting and turning pumps, brogues, loafers, and Mary Janes and finally had a good letter.

I woke up satisfied with myself and ready to move to Sydney.

Since then I have been more and more interested in the Australian fashion scene, Since I am a a sucker for good graphic tees I fell in love with a Sydney based artist collective called Das Monk.  They make amazing graphic tees for men. I usually buy men’s since women’s graphic tees usually are too cutsie for my taste.

I love that Das Monk is made up from a vary of different designers. I especially love that each product comes with a small bio of its creator.

One of my favorite members is Arian Behzadi, a Neurobiology student and print designer. His print “BOY” is absolutely lovely.
